CVE-2020-10690 6 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 3 more 33 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 30 more 2023-12-10 4.4 MEDIUM 6.4 MEDIUM
There is a use-after-free in kernel versions before 5.5 due to a race condition between the release of ptp_clock and cdev while resource deallocation. When a (high privileged) process allocates a ptp device file (like /dev/ptpX) and voluntarily goes to sleep. During this time if the underlying device is removed, it can cause an exploitable condition as the process wakes up to terminate and clean all attached files. The system crashes due to the cdev structure being invalid (as already freed) which is pointed to by the inode.
CVE-2020-11884 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 35 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 32 more 2023-12-10 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
In the Linux kernel 4.19 through 5.6.7 on the s390 platform, code execution may occur because of a race condition, as demonstrated by code in enable_sacf_uaccess in arch/s390/lib/uaccess.c that fails to protect against a concurrent page table upgrade, aka CID-3f777e19d171. A crash could also occur.
CVE-2020-12771 6 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 3 more 37 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 34 more 2023-12-10 4.9 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.6.11. btree_gc_coalesce in drivers/md/bcache/btree.c has a deadlock if a coalescing operation fails.
CVE-2020-12888 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 39 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 36 more 2023-12-10 4.7 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
The VFIO PCI driver in the Linux kernel through 5.6.13 mishandles attempts to access disabled memory space.
CVE-2020-13817 4 Fujitsu, Netapp, Ntp and 1 more 40 M10-1, M10-1 Firmware, M10-4 and 37 more 2023-12-10 5.8 MEDIUM 7.4 HIGH
ntpd in ntp before 4.2.8p14 and 4.3.x before 4.3.100 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon exit or system time change) by predicting transmit timestamps for use in spoofed packets. The victim must be relying on unauthenticated IPv4 time sources. There must be an off-path attacker who can query time from the victim's ntpd instance.
CVE-2020-13143 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more 38 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 35 more 2023-12-10 4.3 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
gadget_dev_desc_UDC_store in drivers/usb/gadget/configfs.c in the Linux kernel 3.16 through 5.6.13 relies on kstrdup without considering the possibility of an internal '\0' value, which allows attackers to trigger an out-of-bounds read, aka CID-15753588bcd4.
CVE-2020-12769 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more 36 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 33 more 2023-12-10 4.9 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.4.17. drivers/spi/spi-dw.c allows attackers to cause a panic via concurrent calls to dw_spi_irq and dw_spi_transfer_one, aka CID-19b61392c5a8.
CVE-2020-12653 4 Debian, Linux, Netapp and 1 more 35 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, A700s and 32 more 2023-12-10 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
An issue was found in Linux kernel before 5.5.4. The mwifiex_cmd_append_vsie_tlv() function in drivers/net/wireless/marvell/mwifiex/scan.c allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service because of an incorrect memcpy and buffer overflow, aka CID-b70261a288ea.
CVE-2019-17498 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libssh2 and 2 more 11 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libssh2 and 8 more 2023-12-10 5.8 MEDIUM 8.1 HIGH
In libssh2 v1.9.0 and earlier versions, the SSH_MSG_DISCONNECT logic in packet.c has an integer overflow in a bounds check, enabling an attacker to specify an arbitrary (out-of-bounds) offset for a subsequent memory read. A crafted SSH server may be able to disclose sensitive information or cause a denial of service condition on the client system when a user connects to the server.
CVE-2019-18683 6 Broadcom, Canonical, Debian and 3 more 23 Fabric Operating System, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 20 more 2023-12-10 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
An issue was discovered in drivers/media/platform/vivid in the Linux kernel through 5.3.8. It is exploitable for privilege escalation on some Linux distributions where local users have /dev/video0 access, but only if the driver happens to be loaded. There are multiple race conditions during streaming stopping in this driver (part of the V4L2 subsystem). These issues are caused by wrong mutex locking in vivid_stop_generating_vid_cap(), vivid_stop_generating_vid_out(), sdr_cap_stop_streaming(), and the corresponding kthreads. At least one of these race conditions leads to a use-after-free.
CVE-2019-11068 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 22 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 19 more 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
libxslt through 1.1.33 allows bypass of a protection mechanism because callers of xsltCheckRead and xsltCheckWrite permit access even upon receiving a -1 error code. xsltCheckRead can return -1 for a crafted URL that is not actually invalid and is subsequently loaded.
CVE-2019-15098 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 5 more 2023-12-10 4.9 MEDIUM 4.6 MEDIUM
drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath6kl/usb.c in the Linux kernel through 5.2.9 has a NULL pointer dereference via an incomplete address in an endpoint descriptor.
CVE-2018-20855 3 Linux, Netapp, Opensuse 6 Linux Kernel, Active Iq Performance Analytics Services, Active Iq Unified Manager and 3 more 2023-12-10 2.1 LOW 3.3 LOW
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 4.18.7. In create_qp_common in drivers/infiniband/hw/mlx5/qp.c, mlx5_ib_create_qp_resp was never initialized, resulting in a leak of stack memory to userspace.
CVE-2019-0201 5 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 2 more 11 Activemq, Drill, Zookeeper and 8 more 2023-12-10 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
An issue is present in Apache ZooKeeper 1.0.0 to 3.4.13 and 3.5.0-alpha to 3.5.4-beta. ZooKeeper’s getACL() command doesn’t check any permission when retrieves the ACLs of the requested node and returns all information contained in the ACL Id field as plaintext string. DigestAuthenticationProvider overloads the Id field with the hash value that is used for user authentication. As a consequence, if Digest Authentication is in use, the unsalted hash value will be disclosed by getACL() request for unauthenticated or unprivileged users.
CVE-2017-3138 3 Debian, Isc, Netapp 5 Debian Linux, Bind, Data Ontap Edge and 2 more 2023-12-10 3.5 LOW 5.3 MEDIUM
named contains a feature which allows operators to issue commands to a running server by communicating with the server process over a control channel, using a utility program such as rndc. A regression introduced in a recent feature change has created a situation under which some versions of named can be caused to exit with a REQUIRE assertion failure if they are sent a null command string. Affects BIND 9.9.9->9.9.9-P7, 9.9.10b1->9.9.10rc2, 9.10.4->9.10.4-P7, 9.10.5b1->9.10.5rc2, 9.11.0->9.11.0-P4, 9.11.1b1->9.11.1rc2, 9.9.9-S1->9.9.9-S9.
CVE-2019-9077 4 Canonical, F5, Gnu and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Traffix Signaling Delivery Controller, Binutils and 1 more 2023-12-10 6.8 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in GNU Binutils 2.32. It is a heap-based buffer overflow in process_mips_specific in readelf.c via a malformed MIPS option section.
CVE-2019-6110 4 Netapp, Openbsd, Siemens and 1 more 9 Element Software, Ontap Select Deploy, Storage Automation Store and 6 more 2023-12-10 4.0 MEDIUM 6.8 MEDIUM
In OpenSSH 7.9, due to accepting and displaying arbitrary stderr output from the server, a malicious server (or Man-in-The-Middle attacker) can manipulate the client output, for example to use ANSI control codes to hide additional files being transferred.
CVE-2017-3136 4 Debian, Isc, Netapp and 1 more 11 Debian Linux, Bind, Data Ontap Edge and 8 more 2023-12-10 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
A query with a specific set of characteristics could cause a server using DNS64 to encounter an assertion failure and terminate. An attacker could deliberately construct a query, enabling denial-of-service against a server if it was configured to use the DNS64 feature and other preconditions were met. Affects BIND 9.8.0 -> 9.8.8-P1, 9.9.0 -> 9.9.9-P6, 9.9.10b1->9.9.10rc1, 9.10.0 -> 9.10.4-P6, 9.10.5b1->9.10.5rc1, 9.11.0 -> 9.11.0-P3, 9.11.1b1->9.11.1rc1, 9.9.3-S1 -> 9.9.9-S8.
CVE-2018-16888 4 Canonical, Netapp, Redhat and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Active Iq Performance Analytics Services, Element Software and 2 more 2023-12-10 1.9 LOW 4.7 MEDIUM
It was discovered systemd does not correctly check the content of PIDFile files before using it to kill processes. When a service is run from an unprivileged user (e.g. User field set in the service file), a local attacker who is able to write to the PIDFile of the mentioned service may use this flaw to trick systemd into killing other services and/or privileged processes. Versions before v237 are vulnerable.
CVE-2017-3140 2 Isc, Netapp 4 Bind, Data Ontap Edge, Element Software and 1 more 2023-12-10 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
If named is configured to use Response Policy Zones (RPZ) an error processing some rule types can lead to a condition where BIND will endlessly loop while handling a query. Affects BIND 9.9.10, 9.10.5, 9.11.0->9.11.1, 9.9.10-S1, 9.10.5-S1.
