Use after free in Blink XSLT in Google Chrome prior to 91.0.4472.164 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2022-29824 2 Fedoraproject, Xmlsoft 3 Fedora, Libxml2, Libxslt 2022-05-18 4.3 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
In libxml2 before 2.9.14, several buffer handling functions in buf.c (xmlBuf*) and tree.c (xmlBuffer*) don't check for integer overflows. This can result in out-of-bounds memory writes. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted, multi-gigabyte XML file. Other software using libxml2's buffer functions, for example libxslt through 1.1.35, is affected as well.
CVE-2022-23308 1 Xmlsoft 1 Libxml2 2022-05-17 4.3 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
valid.c in libxml2 before 2.9.13 has a use-after-free of ID and IDREF attributes.
CVE-2020-7595 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 32 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 29 more 2022-05-12 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
xmlStringLenDecodeEntities in parser.c in libxml2 2.9.10 has an infinite loop in a certain end-of-file situation.
CVE-2020-24977 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 19 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 16 more 2022-05-12 6.4 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
GNOME project libxml2 v2.9.10 has a global buffer over-read vulnerability in xmlEncodeEntitiesInternal at libxml2/entities.c. The issue has been fixed in commit 50f06b3e.
CVE-2017-5029 7 Apple, Debian, Google and 4 more 10 Macos, Debian Linux, Android and 7 more 2022-04-22 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
The xsltAddTextString function in transform.c in libxslt 1.1.29, as used in Blink in Google Chrome prior to 57.0.2987.98 for Mac, Windows, and Linux and 57.0.2987.108 for Android, lacked a check for integer overflow during a size calculation, which allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory write via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2021-3537 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 17 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 14 more 2022-04-20 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
A vulnerability found in libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11 shows that it did not propagate errors while parsing XML mixed content, causing a NULL dereference. If an untrusted XML document was parsed in recovery mode and post-validated, the flaw could be used to crash the application. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2021-3517 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 26 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 23 more 2022-04-20 7.5 HIGH 8.6 HIGH
There is a flaw in the xml entity encoding functionality of libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to supply a crafted file to be processed by an application linked with the affected functionality of libxml2 could trigger an out-of-bounds read. The most likely impact of this flaw is to application availability, with some potential impact to confidentiality and integrity if an attacker is able to use memory information to further exploit the application.
CVE-2021-3518 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 16 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 13 more 2022-04-20 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
There's a flaw in libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to submit a crafted file to be processed by an application linked with libxml2 could trigger a use-after-free. The greatest impact from this flaw is to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
CVE-2019-20388 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 28 Debian Linux, Fedora, Baseboard Management Controller H300e and 25 more 2022-04-20 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
xmlSchemaPreRun in xmlschemas.c in libxml2 2.9.10 allows an xmlSchemaValidateStream memory leak.
CVE-2016-9318 3 Canonical, Xmlsec Project, Xmlsoft 3 Ubuntu Linux, Xmlsec, Libxml2 2022-04-08 4.3 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
libxml2 2.9.4 and earlier, as used in XMLSec 1.2.23 and earlier and other products, does not offer a flag directly indicating that the current document may be read but other files may not be opened, which makes it easier for remote attackers to conduct XML External Entity (XXE) attacks via a crafted document.
CVE-2017-5130 3 Debian, Google, Xmlsoft 3 Debian Linux, Chrome, Libxml2 2022-04-08 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
An integer overflow in xmlmemory.c in libxml2 before 2.9.5, as used in Google Chrome prior to 62.0.3202.62 and other products, allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted XML file.
CVE-2017-5969 1 Xmlsoft 1 Libxml2 2022-04-08 2.6 LOW 4.7 MEDIUM
** DISPUTED ** libxml2 2.9.4, when used in recover mode, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) via a crafted XML document. NOTE: The maintainer states "I would disagree of a CVE with the Recover parsing option which should only be used for manual recovery at least for XML parser."
CVE-2017-16932 1 Xmlsoft 1 Libxml2 2022-04-08 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
parser.c in libxml2 before 2.9.5 does not prevent infinite recursion in parameter entities.
CVE-2021-3541 4 Netapp, Oracle, Redhat and 1 more 27 Active Iq Unified Manager, Cloud Backup, Clustered Data Ontap and 24 more 2022-03-01 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM

There's a flaw in libxml2's xmllint in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to submit a crafted file to be processed by xmllint could trigger a use-after-free. The greatest impact of this flaw is to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
CVE-2008-3529 4 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 1 more 6 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Safari and 3 more 2021-11-08 10.0 HIGH N/A
Heap-based buffer overflow in the xmlParseAttValueComplex function in parser.c in libxml2 before 2.7.0 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or execute arbitrary code via a long XML entity name.

Type confusion in xsltNumberFormatGetMultipleLevel prior to libxslt 1.1.33 could allow attackers to potentially exploit heap corruption via crafted XML data.
CVE-2017-16931 1 Xmlsoft 1 Libxml2 2021-07-20 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
parser.c in libxml2 before 2.9.5 mishandles parameter-entity references because the NEXTL macro calls the xmlParserHandlePEReference function in the case of a '%' character in a DTD name.
