CVE-2020-1935 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more 20 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 17 more 2023-12-10 5.8 MEDIUM 4.8 MEDIUM
In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.30, 8.5.0 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.99 the HTTP header parsing code used an approach to end-of-line parsing that allowed some invalid HTTP headers to be parsed as valid. This led to a possibility of HTTP Request Smuggling if Tomcat was located behind a reverse proxy that incorrectly handled the invalid Transfer-Encoding header in a particular manner. Such a reverse proxy is considered unlikely.
CVE-2019-17569 5 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 2 more 16 Tomcat, Tomee, Debian Linux and 13 more 2023-12-10 5.8 MEDIUM 4.8 MEDIUM
The refactoring present in Apache Tomcat 9.0.28 to 9.0.30, 8.5.48 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.98 to 7.0.99 introduced a regression. The result of the regression was that invalid Transfer-Encoding headers were incorrectly processed leading to a possibility of HTTP Request Smuggling if Tomcat was located behind a reverse proxy that incorrectly handled the invalid Transfer-Encoding header in a particular manner. Such a reverse proxy is considered unlikely.
CVE-2020-1938 6 Apache, Blackberry, Debian and 3 more 19 Geode, Tomcat, Good Control and 16 more 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
When using the Apache JServ Protocol (AJP), care must be taken when trusting incoming connections to Apache Tomcat. Tomcat treats AJP connections as having higher trust than, for example, a similar HTTP connection. If such connections are available to an attacker, they can be exploited in ways that may be surprising. In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.30, 8.5.0 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.99, Tomcat shipped with an AJP Connector enabled by default that listened on all configured IP addresses. It was expected (and recommended in the security guide) that this Connector would be disabled if not required. This vulnerability report identified a mechanism that allowed: - returning arbitrary files from anywhere in the web application - processing any file in the web application as a JSP Further, if the web application allowed file upload and stored those files within the web application (or the attacker was able to control the content of the web application by some other means) then this, along with the ability to process a file as a JSP, made remote code execution possible. It is important to note that mitigation is only required if an AJP port is accessible to untrusted users. Users wishing to take a defence-in-depth approach and block the vector that permits returning arbitrary files and execution as JSP may upgrade to Apache Tomcat 9.0.31, 8.5.51 or 7.0.100 or later. A number of changes were made to the default AJP Connector configuration in 9.0.31 to harden the default configuration. It is likely that users upgrading to 9.0.31, 8.5.51 or 7.0.100 or later will need to make small changes to their configurations.
CVE-2019-10219 3 Netapp, Oracle, Redhat 195 Active Iq Unified Manager, Element, Management Services For Element Software And Netapp Hci and 192 more 2023-12-10 4.3 MEDIUM 6.1 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in Hibernate-Validator. The SafeHtml validator annotation fails to properly sanitize payloads consisting of potentially malicious code in HTML comments and instructions. This vulnerability can result in an XSS attack.
CVE-2019-14379 7 Apple, Debian, Fasterxml and 4 more 25 Xcode, Debian Linux, Jackson-databind and 22 more 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
SubTypeValidator.java in FasterXML jackson-databind before 2.9.9.2 mishandles default typing when ehcache is used (because of net.sf.ehcache.transaction.manager.DefaultTransactionManagerLookup), leading to remote code execution.
CVE-2019-14439 6 Apache, Debian, Fasterxml and 3 more 18 Drill, Debian Linux, Jackson-databind and 15 more 2023-12-10 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A Polymorphic Typing issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.9.2. This occurs when Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property) for an externally exposed JSON endpoint and the service has the logback jar in the classpath.
CVE-2018-14718 5 Debian, Fasterxml, Netapp and 2 more 26 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Oncommand Workflow Automation and 23 more 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.7 might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging failure to block the slf4j-ext class from polymorphic deserialization.
CVE-2017-7525 5 Debian, Fasterxml, Netapp and 2 more 22 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Oncommand Balance and 19 more 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
A deserialization flaw was discovered in the jackson-databind, versions before 2.6.7.1, 2.7.9.1 and 2.8.9, which could allow an unauthenticated user to perform code execution by sending the maliciously crafted input to the readValue method of the ObjectMapper.
CVE-2018-7489 4 Debian, Fasterxml, Oracle and 1 more 5 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Communications Billing And Revenue Management and 2 more 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
FasterXML jackson-databind before 2.7.9.3, 2.8.x before 2.8.11.1 and 2.9.x before 2.9.5 allows unauthenticated remote code execution because of an incomplete fix for the CVE-2017-7525 deserialization flaw. This is exploitable by sending maliciously crafted JSON input to the readValue method of the ObjectMapper, bypassing a blacklist that is ineffective if the c3p0 libraries are available in the classpath.
CVE-2017-15095 5 Debian, Fasterxml, Netapp and 2 more 25 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Oncommand Balance and 22 more 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
A deserialization flaw was discovered in the jackson-databind in versions before 2.8.10 and 2.9.1, which could allow an unauthenticated user to perform code execution by sending the maliciously crafted input to the readValue method of the ObjectMapper. This issue extends the previous flaw CVE-2017-7525 by blacklisting more classes that could be used maliciously.
CVE-2017-5645 4 Apache, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more 79 Log4j, Oncommand Api Services, Oncommand Insight and 76 more 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
In Apache Log4j 2.x before 2.8.2, when using the TCP socket server or UDP socket server to receive serialized log events from another application, a specially crafted binary payload can be sent that, when deserialized, can execute arbitrary code.
