CVSS 3.0 Base Score 7.1 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N).
CVE-2018-10882 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 1 more 2023-12-10 4.9 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ext4 filesystem. A local user can cause an out-of-bound write in in fs/jbd2/transaction.c code, a denial of service, and a system crash by unmounting a crafted ext4 filesystem image.
CVE-2018-14661 3 Debian, Gluster, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Glusterfs, Enterprise Linux and 3 more 2023-12-10 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
It was found that usage of snprintf function in feature/locks translator of glusterfs server 3.8.4, as shipped with Red Hat Gluster Storage, was vulnerable to a format string attack. A remote, authenticated attacker could use this flaw to cause remote denial of service.
CVE-2018-18751 3 Canonical, Gnu, Redhat 3 Ubuntu Linux, Gettext, Enterprise Linux 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
An issue was discovered in GNU gettext 0.19.8. There is a double free in default_add_message in read-catalog.c, related to an invalid free in po_gram_parse in po-gram-gen.y, as demonstrated by lt-msgfmt.
CVE-2018-14618 4 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libcurl and 1 more 2023-12-10 10.0 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
curl before version 7.61.1 is vulnerable to a buffer overrun in the NTLM authentication code. The internal function Curl_ntlm_core_mk_nt_hash multiplies the length of the password by two (SUM) to figure out how large temporary storage area to allocate from the heap. The length value is then subsequently used to iterate over the password and generate output into the allocated storage buffer. On systems with a 32 bit size_t, the math to calculate SUM triggers an integer overflow when the password length exceeds 2GB (2^31 bytes). This integer overflow usually causes a very small buffer to actually get allocated instead of the intended very huge one, making the use of that buffer end up in a heap buffer overflow. (This bug is almost identical to CVE-2017-8816.)
CVE-2018-14651 3 Debian, Gluster, Redhat 3 Debian Linux, Glusterfs, Enterprise Linux 2023-12-10 6.5 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
It was found that the fix for CVE-2018-10927, CVE-2018-10928, CVE-2018-10929, CVE-2018-10930, and CVE-2018-10926 was incomplete. A remote, authenticated attacker could use one of these flaws to execute arbitrary code, create arbitrary files, or cause denial of service on glusterfs server nodes via symlinks to relative paths.
CVE-2017-15118 3 Canonical, Qemu, Redhat 3 Ubuntu Linux, Qemu, Enterprise Linux 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in NBD server implementation in qemu before 2.11 allowing a client to request an export name of size up to 4096 bytes, which in fact should be limited to 256 bytes, causing an out-of-bounds stack write in the qemu process. If NBD server requires TLS, the attacker cannot trigger the buffer overflow without first successfully negotiating TLS.
CVE-2018-10883 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 4 more 2023-12-10 4.9 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ext4 filesystem. A local user can cause an out-of-bounds write in jbd2_journal_dirty_metadata(), a denial of service, and a system crash by mounting and operating on a crafted ext4 filesystem image.
CVE-2016-9579 2 Canonical, Redhat 8 Ubuntu Linux, Ceph Storage, Ceph Storage Mon and 5 more 2023-12-10 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A flaw was found in the way Ceph Object Gateway would process cross-origin HTTP requests if the CORS policy was set to allow origin on a bucket. A remote unauthenticated attacker could use this flaw to cause denial of service by sending a specially-crafted cross-origin HTTP request. Ceph branches 1.3.x and 2.x are affected.
CVE-2019-7548 5 Debian, Opensuse, Oracle and 2 more 9 Debian Linux, Backports Sle, Leap and 6 more 2023-12-10 6.8 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
SQLAlchemy 1.2.17 has SQL Injection when the group_by parameter can be controlled.
CVE-2018-20650 4 Canonical, Debian, Freedesktop and 1 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Poppler and 7 more 2023-12-10 4.3 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
A reachable Object::dictLookup assertion in Poppler 0.72.0 allows attackers to cause a denial of service due to the lack of a check for the dict data type, as demonstrated by use of the FileSpec class (in FileSpec.cc) in pdfdetach.
CVE-2017-2625 2 Redhat, X.org 7 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop, Enterprise Linux Server and 4 more 2023-12-10 2.1 LOW 5.5 MEDIUM
It was discovered that libXdmcp before 1.1.2 including used weak entropy to generate session keys. On a multi-user system using xdmcp, a local attacker could potentially use information available from the process list to brute force the key, allowing them to hijack other users' sessions.
CVE-2018-16888 4 Canonical, Netapp, Redhat and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Active Iq Performance Analytics Services, Element Software and 2 more 2023-12-10 1.9 LOW 4.7 MEDIUM
It was discovered systemd does not correctly check the content of PIDFile files before using it to kill processes. When a service is run from an unprivileged user (e.g. User field set in the service file), a local attacker who is able to write to the PIDFile of the mentioned service may use this flaw to trick systemd into killing other services and/or privileged processes. Versions before v237 are vulnerable.
CVE-2017-2618 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 8 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 5 more 2023-12-10 4.9 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's handling of clearing SELinux attributes on /proc/pid/attr files before 4.9.10. An empty (null) write to this file can crash the system by causing the system to attempt to access unmapped kernel memory.
CVE-2019-6111 10 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 7 more 27 Mina Sshd, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 24 more 2023-12-10 5.8 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in OpenSSH 7.9. Due to the scp implementation being derived from 1983 rcp, the server chooses which files/directories are sent to the client. However, the scp client only performs cursory validation of the object name returned (only directory traversal attacks are prevented). A malicious scp server (or Man-in-The-Middle attacker) can overwrite arbitrary files in the scp client target directory. If recursive operation (-r) is performed, the server can manipulate subdirectories as well (for example, to overwrite the .ssh/authorized_keys file).
CVE-2017-7481 3 Canonical, Debian, Redhat 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Ansible Engine and 7 more 2023-12-10 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
Ansible before versions 2.3.1.0 and 2.4.0.0 fails to properly mark lookup-plugin results as unsafe. If an attacker could control the results of lookup() calls, they could inject Unicode strings to be parsed by the jinja2 templating system, resulting in code execution. By default, the jinja2 templating language is now marked as 'unsafe' and is not evaluated.
