CVE-2023-4853 2 Quarkus, Redhat 10 Quarkus, Build Of Optaplanner, Build Of Quarkus and 7 more 2023-12-05 N/A 8.1 HIGH
A flaw was found in Quarkus where HTTP security policies are not sanitizing certain character permutations correctly when accepting requests, resulting in incorrect evaluation of permissions. This issue could allow an attacker to bypass the security policy altogether, resulting in unauthorized endpoint access and possibly a denial of service.
CVE-2023-5720 1 Quarkus 1 Quarkus 2023-11-30 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A flaw was found in Quarkus, where it does not properly sanitize artifacts created using the Gradle plugin, allowing certain build system information to remain. This flaw allows an attacker to access potentially sensitive information from the build system within the application.
CVE-2023-1584 1 Quarkus 1 Quarkus 2023-11-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A flaw was found in Quarkus. Quarkus OIDC can leak both ID and access tokens in the authorization code flow when an insecure HTTP protocol is used, which can allow attackers to access sensitive user data directly from the ID token or by using the access token to access user data from OIDC provider services. Please note that passwords are not stored in access tokens.
CVE-2022-21724 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Postgresql and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Postgresql Jdbc Driver and 1 more 2023-11-07 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
pgjdbc is the offical PostgreSQL JDBC Driver. A security hole was found in the jdbc driver for postgresql database while doing security research. The system using the postgresql library will be attacked when attacker control the jdbc url or properties. pgjdbc instantiates plugin instances based on class names provided via `authenticationPluginClassName`, `sslhostnameverifier`, `socketFactory`, `sslfactory`, `sslpasswordcallback` connection properties. However, the driver did not verify if the class implements the expected interface before instantiating the class. This can lead to code execution loaded via arbitrary classes. Users using plugins are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this issue.
CVE-2021-37714 4 Jsoup, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more 16 Jsoup, Management Services For Element Software And Netapp Hci, Banking Trade Finance and 13 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
jsoup is a Java library for working with HTML. Those using jsoup versions prior to 1.14.2 to parse untrusted HTML or XML may be vulnerable to DOS attacks. If the parser is run on user supplied input, an attacker may supply content that causes the parser to get stuck (loop indefinitely until cancelled), to complete more slowly than usual, or to throw an unexpected exception. This effect may support a denial of service attack. The issue is patched in version 1.14.2. There are a few available workarounds. Users may rate limit input parsing, limit the size of inputs based on system resources, and/or implement thread watchdogs to cap and timeout parse runtimes.
CVE-2021-38153 3 Apache, Oracle, Quarkus 8 Kafka, Communications Brm - Elastic Charging Engine, Communications Cloud Native Core Policy and 5 more 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
Some components in Apache Kafka use `Arrays.equals` to validate a password or key, which is vulnerable to timing attacks that make brute force attacks for such credentials more likely to be successful. Users should upgrade to 2.8.1 or higher, or 3.0.0 or higher where this vulnerability has been fixed. The affected versions include Apache Kafka 2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.1.0, 2.1.1, 2.2.0, 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.3.0, 2.3.1, 2.4.0, 2.4.1, 2.5.0, 2.5.1, 2.6.0, 2.6.1, 2.6.2, 2.7.0, 2.7.1, and 2.8.0.
CVE-2021-37137 5 Debian, Netapp, Netty and 2 more 12 Debian Linux, Oncommand Insight, Netty and 9 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The Snappy frame decoder function doesn't restrict the chunk length which may lead to excessive memory usage. Beside this it also may buffer reserved skippable chunks until the whole chunk was received which may lead to excessive memory usage as well. This vulnerability can be triggered by supplying malicious input that decompresses to a very big size (via a network stream or a file) or by sending a huge skippable chunk.
CVE-2021-37136 5 Debian, Netapp, Netty and 2 more 19 Debian Linux, Oncommand Insight, Netty and 16 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The Bzip2 decompression decoder function doesn't allow setting size restrictions on the decompressed output data (which affects the allocation size used during decompression). All users of Bzip2Decoder are affected. The malicious input can trigger an OOME and so a DoS attack
CVE-2021-26291 3 Apache, Oracle, Quarkus 4 Maven, Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure, Goldengate Big Data And Application Adapters and 1 more 2023-11-07 6.4 MEDIUM 9.1 CRITICAL
Apache Maven will follow repositories that are defined in a dependency’s Project Object Model (pom) which may be surprising to some users, resulting in potential risk if a malicious actor takes over that repository or is able to insert themselves into a position to pretend to be that repository. Maven is changing the default behavior in 3.8.1+ to no longer follow http (non-SSL) repository references by default. More details available in the referenced urls. If you are currently using a repository manager to govern the repositories used by your builds, you are unaffected by the risks present in the legacy behavior, and are unaffected by this vulnerability and change to default behavior. See this link for more information about repository management: https://maven.apache.org/repository-management.html
CVE-2021-21409 5 Debian, Netapp, Netty and 2 more 18 Debian Linux, Oncommand Api Services, Oncommand Workflow Automation and 15 more 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
Netty is an open-source, asynchronous event-driven network application framework for rapid development of maintainable high performance protocol servers & clients. In Netty (io.netty:netty-codec-http2) before version 4.1.61.Final there is a vulnerability that enables request smuggling. The content-length header is not correctly validated if the request only uses a single Http2HeaderFrame with the endStream set to to true. This could lead to request smuggling if the request is proxied to a remote peer and translated to HTTP/1.1. This is a followup of GHSA-wm47-8v5p-wjpj/CVE-2021-21295 which did miss to fix this one case. This was fixed as part of 4.1.61.Final.
CVE-2021-21290 5 Debian, Netapp, Netty and 2 more 13 Debian Linux, Active Iq Unified Manager, Cloud Secure Agent and 10 more 2023-11-07 1.9 LOW 5.5 MEDIUM
Netty is an open-source, asynchronous event-driven network application framework for rapid development of maintainable high performance protocol servers & clients. In Netty before version 4.1.59.Final there is a vulnerability on Unix-like systems involving an insecure temp file. When netty's multipart decoders are used local information disclosure can occur via the local system temporary directory if temporary storing uploads on the disk is enabled. On unix-like systems, the temporary directory is shared between all user. As such, writing to this directory using APIs that do not explicitly set the file/directory permissions can lead to information disclosure. Of note, this does not impact modern MacOS Operating Systems. The method "File.createTempFile" on unix-like systems creates a random file, but, by default will create this file with the permissions "-rw-r--r--". Thus, if sensitive information is written to this file, other local users can read this information. This is the case in netty's "AbstractDiskHttpData" is vulnerable. This has been fixed in version 4.1.59.Final. As a workaround, one may specify your own "java.io.tmpdir" when you start the JVM or use "DefaultHttpDataFactory.setBaseDir(...)" to set the directory to something that is only readable by the current user.
CVE-2021-21295 6 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 3 more 8 Kudu, Zookeeper, Debian Linux and 5 more 2023-11-07 2.6 LOW 5.9 MEDIUM
Netty is an open-source, asynchronous event-driven network application framework for rapid development of maintainable high performance protocol servers & clients. In Netty (io.netty:netty-codec-http2) before version 4.1.60.Final there is a vulnerability that enables request smuggling. If a Content-Length header is present in the original HTTP/2 request, the field is not validated by `Http2MultiplexHandler` as it is propagated up. This is fine as long as the request is not proxied through as HTTP/1.1. If the request comes in as an HTTP/2 stream, gets converted into the HTTP/1.1 domain objects (`HttpRequest`, `HttpContent`, etc.) via `Http2StreamFrameToHttpObjectCodec `and then sent up to the child channel's pipeline and proxied through a remote peer as HTTP/1.1 this may result in request smuggling. In a proxy case, users may assume the content-length is validated somehow, which is not the case. If the request is forwarded to a backend channel that is a HTTP/1.1 connection, the Content-Length now has meaning and needs to be checked. An attacker can smuggle requests inside the body as it gets downgraded from HTTP/2 to HTTP/1.1. For an example attack refer to the linked GitHub Advisory. Users are only affected if all of this is true: `HTTP2MultiplexCodec` or `Http2FrameCodec` is used, `Http2StreamFrameToHttpObjectCodec` is used to convert to HTTP/1.1 objects, and these HTTP/1.1 objects are forwarded to another remote peer. This has been patched in 4.1.60.Final As a workaround, the user can do the validation by themselves by implementing a custom `ChannelInboundHandler` that is put in the `ChannelPipeline` behind `Http2StreamFrameToHttpObjectCodec`.
CVE-2020-25649 6 Apache, Fasterxml, Fedoraproject and 3 more 39 Iotdb, Jackson-databind, Fedora and 36 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A flaw was found in FasterXML Jackson Databind, where it did not have entity expansion secured properly. This flaw allows vulnerability to XML external entity (XXE) attacks. The highest threat from this vulnerability is data integrity.
CVE-2020-25638 4 Debian, Hibernate, Oracle and 1 more 5 Debian Linux, Hibernate Orm, Communications Cloud Native Core Console and 2 more 2023-11-07 5.8 MEDIUM 7.4 HIGH
A flaw was found in hibernate-core in versions prior to and including 5.4.23.Final. A SQL injection in the implementation of the JPA Criteria API can permit unsanitized literals when a literal is used in the SQL comments of the query. This flaw could allow an attacker to access unauthorized information or possibly conduct further attacks. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity.
CVE-2020-25633 2 Quarkus, Redhat 2 Quarkus, Resteasy 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in RESTEasy client in all versions of RESTEasy up to 4.5.6.Final. It may allow client users to obtain the server's potentially sensitive information when the server got WebApplicationException from the RESTEasy client call. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality.
CVE-2020-1728 2 Quarkus, Redhat 2 Quarkus, Keycloak 2023-11-07 5.8 MEDIUM 5.4 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in all versions of Keycloak where, the pages on the Admin Console area of the application are completely missing general HTTP security headers in HTTP-responses. This does not directly lead to a security issue, yet it might aid attackers in their efforts to exploit other problems. The flaws unnecessarily make the servers more prone to Clickjacking, channel downgrade attacks and other similar client-based attack vectors.
CVE-2020-13956 4 Apache, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more 17 Httpclient, Active Iq Unified Manager, Snapcenter and 14 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
Apache HttpClient versions prior to version 4.5.13 and 5.0.3 can misinterpret malformed authority component in request URIs passed to the library as java.net.URI object and pick the wrong target host for request execution.
